As a part of a customer project a Linux user-space PTP gadget driver has been written. It is trying to comply to the PIMA 15740 and USB Still Image standards. The program allows to present a Linux system, enabled with a USB device controller, to a USB host as a still camera. At present only downloading of images is supported, but the software can also be extended to support advanced PTP features, including video capture, using the v4l2 interface.
